Bus Terminal

Venice, Italy

1991

The project was developed as an alternative to the given competition site, freeing up the Piazzale Roma and surroundings for pedestrian rather than vehicular use. An island 450 m in diameter to be built of steel and concrete would serve as an entrance terminal to the city, handling both automotive and water-borne traffic. The multistory building would house the transportation terminal, garage, as well as commercial functions.
