Housing Complex with Six Dwellings
Sapanca, Sakarya, Turkey
1995
The six dwellings opposed to the usual scattered independent housing schemes are clustered to form an urban pattern. Two stone cladded consequent retaining walls are used to redefine the sloping land. The green spaces among the houses and the big garden with a swimming pool are intended for communal use. Behind the upper wall, an underground garage is planned to allow the whole site to be free of vehicles. A multipurpose hall with an indoor swimming pool and sports facilities complement to the houses with different plans, various sizes and private terraces. The concrete construction is cladded with natural stone and wood.
